We do provide a sleeper couch for children. The apartments can inter-link for family stays. We provide complementary coffee and tea on arrival. During whale season (July-November) our guests can have their morning coffee in bed while watching the whales cavort in the water below the windows. One can clearly hear them blowing when they come closer to shore during the night. Before the whale season, schools of dolphin play up and down False Bay and are a joy to watch. The yachting regattas held in the bay, reminds one of a swarm of butterflies dancing on the water. We also have an outdoors area where our guests can enjoy a sundowner or just watch the day drift away and watch the moon rise across the bay! Whalesounds is the perfect venue to forget about the hustle and bustle. Fish Hoek beach is a stone's throw down the road and now boasts the only shark nets for safe bathing in Cape Town and has two restaurants on the beach for bathers' convenience. Shopping is also very convenient and close. For a bigger variety of shopping, the closest Malls are only 5km away. There are so many things to do and see around the Peninsula! Some of the most popular attractions are: Cape Point Nature Reserve, Ostrich farms, Boulders Beach with it's unique Jackass Penguin colony, Camel rides at Imhoff's Farm, World of Birds in Hout Bay, the awesome Chapman's Peak Drive, the challenging Simon's Town golf course (or Clovelly or West Lake), numerous restaurants with great food and views to cater for every taste, cosy, reasonable breakfast spots and coffee shops. If you want to do everything there is to do, you'll need a holiday!

Oceans Echo

Hi, I’m Yvette I’ve been hosting guests at my villa since 2007. Ocean's Echo is my home-away-from-home - a piece of paradise in Cape Town's Southern Peninsula, that has views spanning the entire False Baycoastline, from Simon's Town to Muizenberg. I love meeting new people, which is one of the reasons I love what I do. Providing premier service is my top priority, and together with my awesome house manager Beulah, we aim to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Just let me know how much of my input you would like - I’m happy to arrange shopping, meals, book tours and arrange any special extra's you might have in mind. I’ve lived in Cape Town my whole lifeand am able to offer advice, give ideas for itineraries, and provide insider tips on restaurants and attractions in the Mother City.  Whether you’re agroup of friends, a small tour group, a wedding entourage or a big family having a family reunion, I’d be happy to host and happy to help. Housekeeping: Daily, during the week Interaction with guests: As little or as much as you like Distances from Ocean’s Echo to surrounding attractions: Kalk Bay: 4,5 km Fish Hoek Beach: 2,5 km Simon’s Town: 4,2km Muizenberg: 7,9 km Cape Point Nature Reserve :30 km Cape Town CBD: 34km Cape Town Stadium : 34km Boulders Penguin Colony: 9,6 km Cape Town International Airport: 41km Table Mountain Cableway:40,2 km Chapman’s Peak Drive: 12 km Stellenbosch Wine Route: 40-50km Constantia Wine Route: 21 km Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens: 25,4 km V&A Waterfront: 37,4 km Whale Watching Cape Town and Hermanus are the hot spots for land-based whale watching and Cape Town is one of the best locations for boat-based whale watching. Oceans Echo is perched high above the ocean so when the whales are making the most of the warmer surface water, you can see them in all their glory: bubble-netting, breaching, lob tailing, spy hopping, blowing, grunting and even mating. Oceans Echo is fortuitously positioned right above one of their favourite spots and offers spectacular whale watching opportunities between August and November. The whales are often visible only meters from the shore, as they travel the coastline between Hermanus and False Bay on their way to The Antarctic.
